A Brief History of Bert & Ernie's
The first Bert & Ernie's opened in Helena, Montana in July of 1974 in the Iron Front Hotel building. In August of 1977 Bert & Ernie's opened it second location in the big city of Great Falls, Montana. Bert & Ernie's is still pleasing the windy city with fine food, great music and fun from its downtown location.
Some sixteen years later , in May of 1990, Bert & Ernie's purchased & Renovated the Old Globe Clothing Store Building and made it a second home for Helena. The GLOBE occupied the building from the turn of the century to 1984. Also located in the front of the building was located the IDEAL BAKERY. While Renovating this building much of the design and layout with the balcony's was left from the Globe Clothing Store. Bert & Ernie's enhanced the look & made it a classic atmosphere the has come to define Bert & Ernies today.
In January of 1995 Bert & Ernie's opened up a new Business BLEACHERS SPORTS PUB now Located in the back corner what was known as the Globe Women's Clothing Store. Bleachers is the first non smoking pub in Helena. Totally equipped for the sports enthusiast Bleachers offers a wide variety of Viewing capacities & excitement. Bleachers Specializes in Gourmet Pizza , Subs, Soups & Salads. Top This off with the finest Beers in Montana and you have it all.
